Aces visit the White House
Lucas Peltier-USA TODAY Sports

Thursday, the Las Vegas Aces visited the White House so they could be introduced to the current president, Joe Biden. Meeting the president is a commendable honor that few athletes are given the opportunity to see.

All of the stars from this organization were in attendance so they could be in a presidential atmosphere. Current players on the roster were here as well, even if they were not in the 2023 championship season.

Players such as Kate Martin and Dyaisha Fair are rookies and are still were permitted to meet the president.

Current president of the United States Joe Biden exemplified his excitement for hosting the Aces. “This is the first WNBA team in over 20 years to win a title back-to-back,” Biden exclaimed. “I kind of like that term back-to-back.”

Visiting the White House

A’Ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray showcased their gratitude for the opportunity to be placed with such great honor. They presented both president, Joe Biden and vice president, Kamala Harris with their own personal jerseys.

The jerseys featured each of their last names and the number 46. 46 was used on the jersey design because Joe Biden is the 46th president of the country.

With the Aces attending this year, this allows the capability to visit the White House with two different presidents. The presidential election takes place in November later this year.
